Investigations

Since forming in 2007 we have investigated in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Gloucestershire, South Wales and Essex. Our main achievement this year has been to forge relationships with other groups and organisations, as we believe no one group can possibly have all the answers.

For 2009/2010 we plan to further develop our investigation methodology and techniques, with investigations confirmed at various locations throughout the year. However we are always on the look out for fresh cases and we aim to investigate based on current activity levels, rather than be limited by distance.

Private residences are always shown the highest levels of confidentiality and are not publicised in any way or open to inexperienced investigators. We always aim to present our findings to clients in an open way but must stress that any information gained from a medium, sensitive or other means can not be scientifically proven.

Six pack of confidential locations		 During the end of 2008 and the first quarter of 2009 as a group we have investigated 6 different properties within Cornwall, which have all been kept confidential at the venue or client’s request. One was such a large site that we worked with our friends from BSPRI to ensure the whole of the site was covered. 07-03-2009 Light Rain

Halloween Ghost Walk – Haunted Plymouth		 The SI team experienced the highly acclaimed Haunted Plymouth Ghost Walk at Halloween, raising money for the club. Strolling through the ancient cobbled streets, listening to tales of old haunted inns, phantom spectres and the stories of those unfortunate enough to come face to face with the darker side of Plymouth. 31-10-2008 Clear

Boringdon Hall		 A grade 1 listed Elizabethan Manor house, whose guests have included Queen Elizabeth the 1st, Sir Walter Raleigh and Sir Francis Drake, who`s ghost has been seen even up until today. The name "Boringdon" comes from the Saxon "Burth-Y-Don" meaning "Enchanted place on the hill". 03-10-2008 Wet

The Battle of Sedgemoor		 The area is the of site of the last full scale battle ever fought on English soil, the Monmouth Rebellion. In 1685 hundreds of rebels Doing the right as they saw it were massacred here by the Kings Men. 05-07-2008 Clear

Castle Comfort		 Castle of Comfort is an old building, formerly a Cider House and then private residence, now used as a hotel just outside Bridgwater in Somerset. It is situated on a quiet road and the property backs onto the Quantock Hills. 02-03-2008 Drizzly

Confidential Location (Cornwall)		 Some members of the SI team have been to this location on several occasions and it proves quite popular due to the high level of activity and strange phenomenon.
